Do you have lactose-free, dairy-free or vegan options?

Yes! We do offer our Cookies ‘N’ Creme ice cream sandwich and Smooshie Pop lactose-free.

At this time, we do not offer any dairy-free or vegan ice cream, but if that’s something that is important to you please contact us at heyo@smooshies.ca to let us know!

Do you offer gluten-free options?

I’m allergic to nuts. Is it safe to eat your ice cream sandwiches?

No, we are NOT a nut free establishment but the only Smooshie that explicitly contains nuts is Reese’s Puffs. If you have any nut related allergies we do not recommend you consume any of our products.

Are your ice cream sandwiches Kosher or Halal?

No, our products are not certified Kosher or Halal.

Can I customize my ice cream sandwich?

At this time, we do not offer customization.

Do you have a brick-and-mortar shop?

Not at the moment! Smooshies is a mobile food truck, bringing our handcrafted ice cream sandwiches to different locations and events through the Annapolis Valley.

What months of the year are you open?

We typically attend markets and festivals from mid-May through mid-October.

Where in Nova Scotia do you operate?

Great question! We are based in the Kingston/Greenwood area of the Annapolis Valley (Nova Scotia). We primarily service the Annapolis Valley between Digby and Windsor, but we can also travel to the HRM (Halifax Regional Municipality), Dartmouth, and South Shore (between Bridgewater and Chester).

Can we hire you to cater our private event?

Absolutely! We love helping make your event a memorable one and offer custom catering packages to meet your unique needs and budget. We can cater all types of events including weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, and fundraisers. To learn more, visit our Book Us page or contact us at events@smooshies.ca.

Do you offer catering options for indoor venues?

Yes we do! For indoor events, or even for outdoor events where space is limited, we offer a Mobile Bar catering option. To learn more, visit our BOOK US page or contact us at events@smooshies.ca.

Do you cater weddings?

Absolutely! We love a good late night food truck moment at a wedding and will work with you closely to create a custom catering package to meet your unique needs and budget. Please contact us at events@smooshies.ca to get the conversation started and head over to our BOOK US page for more information.

Do you have a minimum guest count for private events?

No we do not, but we typically recommend at least 100 guests for the Full-Service Food Truck package. For smaller events, we suggest either the Full-Service Mobile Bar or the Self-Service Mini-Freezer catering package. We would be more than happy to discuss you needs and recommend the best option for your event size, logistics, and budget.

How does payment work to book you for our event?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date, and the balance is due 7 days before the event. We accept all major credit cards as well as e-transfer or cash.

What happens if it rains?

We can and do operate rain or shine from within our food truck! If you would like to book our Mobile Bar package for an outdoor venue, we do set up a 10ftx10ft canopy over the bar, but if the weather is extremely windy, we do require an alternative indoor space to operate from as a backup. Our Self-Serve Mini-Freezer package does require that you provide your own adequate cover if being use outdoors.

Do you hold all of the required permits and certificates to serve food throughout Nova Scotia?

Yes we do! We hold a valid Food Establishment permit which means we can operate anywhere within Nova Scotia, and our team has their Food Handler certificates. We also hold all the required automotive and business liability insurance policies.

How do I get you to come to our public market or festival?
