Our service area
Smooshies is an Annapolis Valley (Nova Scotia) based food truck. We accept bookings between Digby and Windsor, as well as throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality, Dartmouth, and South Shore (Bridgewater to Chester). For private catering bookings beyond a 50km radius of Greenwood, a travel fee may apply.

What months of the year do you operate?
We typically are open from mid-May through mid-October.
Can we hire you to cater a private event?
Absolutely! We love helping make your event a memorable one and offer custom catering packages to meet your unique needs and budget. Do you offer catering options for indoor venues?

Absolutely! We love a good late night food truck moment at a wedding and will work with you closely to create a custom catering package to meet your unique needs and budget. Do you have a minimum guest count for private events?
No we do not, but we typically recommend at least 100 guests for the Full-Service Food Truck package. For smaller events, we suggest either the Full-Service Mobile Bar or the Self-Service Mini-Freezer catering package. We would be more than happy to discuss your needs and recommend the best option for your event size, logistics, and budget.
How far will you travel for an event?
We are based in the Kingston/Greenwood area of the Annapolis Valley (Nova Scotia). We primarily service the Annapolis Valley between Digby and Windsor, but we can also travel to the HRM (Halifax Regional Municipality), Dartmouth, and South Shore (between Bridgewater and Chester).
What happens if it rains?
We can and do operate rain or shine from within our food truck! If you would like to book our Mobile Bar package for an outdoor venue, we do set up a 10ftx10ft canopy over the bar, but if the weather is extremely windy, we do require an alternative indoor space to operate from as a backup. Our Self-Serve Mini-Freezer package does require that you provide your own adequate cover if being used outdoors.
How does payment work to book you for our event?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date, and the balance is due 7 days before the event. We accept all major credit cards as well as e-transfer or cash.
Do you hold all of the required permits and certificates to serve food throughout Nova Scotia?
Yes we do! We hold a valid Food Establishment permit which means we can operate anywhere within Nova Scotia, and our team has their Food Handler certificates. We also hold all the required automotive and business liability insurance policies.
Do you have lactose-free, dairy-free or vegan options?
Yes! We do offer our Cookies 'N' Creme ice cream sandwich and Smooshie Pop lactose-free. At this time, we do not offer any dairy-free or vegan ice cream, but if that's something that is important to you please contact us at heyo@smooshies.ca to let us know!

Can I customize my ice cream sandwich?
At this time, we do not offer customization.
I'm allergic to nuts. Is it safe to eat your ice cream sandwiches?
No, we are not a nut free establishment but the only Smooshie that explicitly contains nuts is Reese's Puffs. If you have any nut related allergies we do not recommend you consume our products.
Are your ice cream sandwiches kosher or halal?
No, our products are not certified Kosher or Halal.
